Our founder, Truett Cathy, made the decision to close on Sundays in 1946 when he opened his first restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia. Having worked seven days a week in restaurants open 24 hours, Truett saw the importance of closing on Sundays so that he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose - a practice we uphold today.
All team members can enjoy complimentary beverages, including soft drinks, tea, coffee, and water, throughout their scheduled shifts. This policy does not include milkshakes, iced coffees, specialty or seasonal beverages, and lemonades.
Please use the cup provided at orientation or your personal cup for your drinks, and ensure they are stored in the appropriate areas to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Personal cups must have a lid and a straw, be made of a durable material, and not be branded from another food establishment. Additional durable cups used for new team members are always available for a nominal fee. Contact a manager if one needs to be purchased.
Team members cannot use Chick-fil-A foam or plastic serving cups during their shifts.
Finally, please consume these beverages during your break times or in a manner that does not interfere with your duties or customer interactions.
As of August 15, 2024, we offer an employee meal benefit for all team members working a scheduled shift of any length. The employee meal includes an entrée and a side item, or an entree salad, without modification. Any variances require written authorization from a medical professional, validated by the operator, due to an allergy and medical constraint. The meal must be a dine-in order, consumed in the restaurant, and no portion is to be taken home.
You are eligible to receive one meal benefit per shift worked. You are permitted a second employee meal if you work a shift over twelve (12) hours. Meals must be enjoyed before your shift, during your designated break time while on shift, or after your shift.
As of 01 January 2025, all employee meals must be entered as a Dine-In mobile order. We are doing this to speed up the employee ordering process and eliminate team members from having to stand in line in front of guests.
This employee meal benefit may be changed, adjusted, or revoked, with or without notice, for individuals or for the entire team.
At Chick-fil-A Forsyth, we believe in empowering our team to thrive both at work and in their personal lives. Our flexible scheduling is designed to give you control and balance while meeting the team's, business's, and our customers' needs.
We work together to understand, set, and approve your available hours—whether mornings, evenings, or weekends—and create schedules that align with your life. Your availability may even be updated as life changes.
Part-time closing or opening team members are asked to be available to open or close a minimum of 2 weekdays, Friday, and Saturday.
Do you need time for school, family, or personal time? Submit time-off requests as far out as you want, and we’ll work to accommodate your needs. There are times when we have many requests for the same time period, and we will work to approve (most of the time) or deny (as required) on sensible priorities.
Our schedules are set two weeks in advance, giving you ample time to organize your personal life, classes, or other commitments with clarity and peace of mind.
Swap shifts with coworkers through our user-friendly scheduling app, giving you flexibility to adjust your hours without stress. Some reasonable limits may be placed on this only to ensure that team members with the same skill level or responsibility trade shifts.
Whether you’re looking for a few hours a week or a full-time role, we offer options to fit your lifestyle.
We use a modern scheduling platform that is mobile-optimized to make updates quick and transparent so you can plan your life with confidence. We aim to provide a supportive environment where you can grow, contribute, and maintain the necessary flexibility.
You deserve a remarkable future. As a Chick-fil-A Team Member, there’s nothing we like more than helping you reach your dreams of higher education. We hope you take advantage of this opportunity.

Chick-fil-A Forsyth provides team members with paid time off (PTO). PTO may be used for any reason.
All full-time regular supervisory or above team members are eligible to receive PTO immediately upon hire.
PTO is calculated according to your work anniversary year, which begins on the date of promotion to a supervisory or above position. The amount of PTO received each year is based on your length of service and accrues according to an accrual schedule determined by the Restaurant up to a maximum annual grant as shown below:
First through second (2nd) year of employment: 40 hours annually.
Third (3rd) through ninth (9th) year of employment: 80 hours annually.
Over ten (10) years of employment: 120 hours annually.
PTO granted during your first year of employment will be prorated based on your hire date.
Once you reach the maximum accrual amount, you will not accrue any additional PTO until you use some of the accrued but unused PTO and the amount falls below the maximum accrual amount. You will not receive retroactive credit for any period of time in which you did not accrue PTO because you accrued the maximum amount.
The Restaurant encourages you to use your PTO time. You are eligible to begin using PTO as soon as it is received. You must request PTO from your Director, Manager, or other leader as far in advance as possible, but at least 4 weeks in advance. The Restaurant will generally grant requests for PTO when possible, taking business needs into consideration. You must take PTO in increments of at least eight (8) hours.
The Restaurant may require you to use any unused PTO during disability or family medical leave, or any other leave of absence, where permissible under local, state, or federal law. You will not accrue PTO during unpaid leaves of absence or other periods of inactive service unless PTO accrual is required by applicable federal, state, or local law.
Unused PTO, up to 40 hours, can be carried over to the following year at the beginning of the following calendar year. At the beginning of the following calendar year, the restaurant may elect to offer payment for the unused time.
Upon separation of employment for any reason, you will forfeit any earned but unused PTO time unless state law dictates otherwise.

Starting on or around August 1, 2025, a 401(k) retirement plan was started to help you build a secure financial future! A 401(k) is a savings plan that lets you set aside money from each paycheck, before taxes, to grow over time for retirement. It’s a powerful way to plan for the long term, and we’re proud to provide this benefit to support your financial wellness.
Here’s how it works: If you’re at least 21 years old and have been with us for one year, you may be eligible to join. You choose how much of your paycheck to contribute (up to IRS limits), and that money is invested in options like stock or bond funds, which grow over time. Your contributions are pre-tax, meaning you lower your taxable income now, and the money grows tax-free until you withdraw it in retirement. Plus, we’ll match a portion of your contributions—think of it as extra money we add to your account to boost your savings. The earlier you start, the more your savings can grow—$100 a month at age 25 could grow to over $10,000 by retirement, thanks to compound interest! You’ll have flexibility to adjust your contributions and investment choices as your needs change.
This 401(k) is designed to make saving for retirement simple and rewarding. It’s a benefit that shows our commitment to your future, whether you’re just starting out or planning for the next chapter. We’ll provide resources and support to help you get started and make informed choices. Let’s work together to make your retirement dreams a reality!
